[2] (Hypothetical)
[2]
[2] In the summer of 1918 the Austro-Hungarian fleet
[2] under admiral Horthy planned the greatest raid
[2] ever on the Otranto barrage. The light cruisers
[2] were to attack the barrage, supported by the
[2] Austrian battle fllet to the north to take care of any
[2] pursuit.
[2]
[2] During the approach, the Austrian dreadnought
[2] Szent Istvan was attacked and sunk by Italian
[2] MTBs, and the operation was called off.
[2]
[2] This scenario assumes that the attack was a
[2] failure, and the MTBs instead reported the
[2] Austrians, and the Italian battlefleet is ready for
[2] them. The ensuing battle will decide mastery of
[2] the Adriatic.
